Artemisian Awards Primer
This is the updated handout from Lord Einar's class on September 1, 2010. Please let us know
if we've left anything out.
To send in an award recommendation, send an e-mail to the King,
Queen, & Royal Heirs with the
full SCA name of the person you are recommending, what events that person'll be at, and why you think that person deserves an award.
If you have a suggestion for an award, that is fine as well. You can also see
The Arte of Writing Letters of Recommendation by Lady KyneWynn
the Kind and the Artemisia Order of
Precedence for more information.
Bear's Tale Archive
The Bear's Tale is our shire newsletter. If you are interested in contributing to the Bear's Tale, please contact Yashoda, our
Chronicler. Contributions can include articles, artwork, games, poems, etc. Please send your submissions to Yashoda by the
second-to-last Wednesday of the month for inclusion in the next month's newsletter.
Devices
A pictoral list of the emblazons & blazons of Shire members past & present. This includes ideas people are trying out as
well as devices in the submissions process & those which have passed. Getting to know people's devices helps you know who is
at an event.
Forward Into the Past
This SCA, Inc pdf gives a brief overview of the SCA to help newcomers learn what is going on and how they can get involved.
Map of the Knowne World &
Clickable Map of Artemisia
These two maps will help you navigate your way around the Knowne World and Artemisia. Neither of them are official, but they
sure are useful (& fun!). The maps include the arms of the various regions, so you can also learn to identify where people
at events are from.
SCA Ordinary & Armorial
Page with links to various forms of the SCA Ordinary & Armorial, the list of all registered heraldry in the SCA.
Cote du Ciel's Favorite Dances
A pdf of the steps to the Bransles, Country Dances, & other dances loved by Cote du Cielians.
List of Alternate Titles
Do you have a persona who would have spoken some other language than English? Ever wondered how you would have said "Lord" or
"Lady" in your persona's language? This page has that information for you.
